The 1st Batch of virtual TVET Student Exchange under the SEAMEO TVET Exchange Programme will be implemented in May/June 2022 among TVET institutions from Southeast Asian Countries. There are responsibilities for both the sending and receiving institutions.
The sending institutions will be responsible for:
- coordinating with Receiving Institution for the arrangement of online interviews, letter of acceptance, exchange schedule, exchange preparation, and project-based assignments;
- recruiting eligible students;
- coordinating with SEAMEO and their partners for the virtual exchange;
- conducting pre-exchange orientation for outbound students;
- providing students time and opportunity to join classes of the Receiving Institution virtually and provide them with adequate IT equipment;
- supporting students in conducting project-based assignments;
- utilizing the SEAMEO virtual student exchange platform;
- ensuring the completion of student performance reports and;
- ensuring to submit the following 2 reports to SEAMEO at the end of exchange:
- Overall Exchange Evaluation Form by students,
- Overall Project Evaluation by Coordinator.
And the receiving institutions will be responsible for:
- coordinating with Sending Institution for arrangement of online interviews, letter of acceptance, exchange schedule, exchange preparation, and project-based assignments;
- arranging the exchange programme and schedule of online classes, including orientation, classroom observation, conducting of project-based assignments, and other student activities or excursion;
- coordinating with SEAMEO and their partners for arrangement of the virtual exchange;
- utilizing the SEAMEO virtual student exchange platform;
- providing mentors and e-Buddies for inbound students;
- partnering with industries according to the study areas and agreed internship period of inbound students (if applicable) and;
- ensuring the completion of student performance reports.
